Where is Flip Out Southampton Located?
It is not actually in Southampton, but not too far away. It is located in Chandlers Ford Industrial Estate, Eastleigh. Here is a map 👇
What Happens When I Arrive?
Before arriving, it is highly recommended to pre-book your visit to Flip Out Southampton, especially during peak times such as weekends and school holidays. This will ensure you have a guaranteed spot and avoid disappointment if the park is fully booked.
However, you can still walk in and purchase tickets on the day if there are available spaces. It's best to check the park's website or contact them directly for up-to-date information on their booking policies.
Flip Out advises you to arrive 30 minutes before your booking slot to ensure you have time to check in and watch a safety video (if you haven’t done so already). They will also ensure you have purchased Flip Out socks. However, arriving this early may not be necessary, particularly at quieter times. Once you’re done checking in, you have to wait in a foyer, which is an arcade area. Once it’s you’re time slot, you’ll be called to the main trampoline area.
What Activities Are Available?
Once you have paid, watched the safety video, and it’s time to go into the arena, you can expect:
- Main Trampoline Area: A large area with interconnected trampolines, angled walls, and rebounding surfaces for free jumping and tricks.
- Foam Pits: Deep pits filled with foam cubes for soft landings while trying out flips and other stunts.
- Soft Play Area: An area designed for younger children with soft play equipment.
- Drop Slide: A thrilling vertical drop slide that takes riders from the top of a tower to the bottom in seconds.
How Much Does it Cost to go to Flip Out?
If you're considering a visit to Flip Out Southampton, it's important to know the pricing options. Here's a breakdown of the pricing, along with some comparisons to other trampoline parks in the area and special discounts and offers to keep in mind:
Pricing Options
Flip Out Southampton offers a variety of pricing options, including:
- Hourly rates: Usually around £12, depending on the time of day and day of the week.
- Child aged five and under and a parent during the day: Around £8.50
- 30-Day Bounce Pass: Starting from £50 per month for one person and unlimited bounce pass.
Spectator Tickets
One of the things that bothers me (and quite a few others) is that spectators have to pay for a ticket. So if you're taking your children, who are over 5 and under 18 years old, you will also have to pay for a ticket to sit in the cafe, which includes a drink.
Unfortunately, there is not much of a ‘spectator’ area. You can see the children at the top of the soft play, and there are a few gaps to peer through. I was informed that if you have a spectator ticket, you must remain upstairs in the viewing area due to the health and safety numbers. Therefore you must be a full-paying ticket if you want to see your children down at the trampolines.

Is there a dress code for Flip Out?
There is no specific dress code for Flip Out Southampton, but it's recommended that you wear comfortable athletic clothing that allows for ease of movement. However, something you must be aware of is there sock policy:
Flip Out Socks
At Flip Out, all visitors must wear branded socks that can be purchased at the facility to access the trampolines and other attractions. They are currently £3 a pair.
This policy is intended to promote safety and hygiene, but it can be a source of frustration for some customers who feel that they are being forced to pay an extra fee on top of the cost of admission.
Many customers find the policy to be an unnecessary added expense, particularly when other local trampoline parks allow visitors to wear any trampoline socks. Some may also feel that the branded socks are simply a way for the facility to make more money off visitors rather than a true safety or hygiene measure.
How old do you have to be to go to Flip Out?
You must be at least 18 to sign the waiver required to enter Flip Out Southampton on your own. However, children under 18 can still visit if they are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who signs the waiver on their behalf.
Some areas of the park may have age restrictions or require adult supervision, so it's important to check with staff if you have any questions about whether a particular activity suits your child's age range.
Is There a Cafe?
Flip Out does have a cafe. When you need a break from all the jumping and flipping, the onsite cafe at Flip Out Southampton offers a range of refreshments and snacks to keep you going. Here's what you need to know about the cafe:
Menu Options
The cafe offers a variety of snacks, drinks, and meals. Some of the options available include:
- Hot and cold drinks: Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, soft drinks and slushies.
- Snacks: Crisps, chocolate, sweets, cakes, and biscuits.
- Meals: Sandwiches, wraps and pizza.
Quality of Food and Service
The cafe's menu is relatively basic, the food quality is ok, and the service is variable. It usually depends on how busy they are. Prices are reasonable, and there are plenty of tables and chairs available for visitors.
Is Flip Out Suitable for Young Children?
Yes, Flip Out Southampton has activities that are suitable for young children. There are plenty of trampolines and a soft play area.
However, I have two reservations when bringing younger children:
- I would not recommend bringing younger ones when it is busy. I’ve had a couple of experiences where my little one has been happily playing in the soft play, and then a group of teenagers have barged their way through with no consideration for the younger ones.
- The first time I took my daughter, she was about 2 years old, and she was a little scared as it can feel quite dark, with graffiti art that scared her with the loud music
