Good afternoon Hampshire,
The kids are back at school, and it’s definitely starting to feel a bit more autumnal this week, particularly with the rain today. However, according to the MET Office, astronomical summer doesn’t officially end until September 21st, so hopefully, we’ll have a few nice sunny days to enjoy (fingers crossed).
A big thank you to everyone who shared their wonderful feedback last week! I'm always looking for ways to make this newsletter even better and more interesting for all of you in Hampshire.
Here’s what we have this week….

A PLACE TO VISIT
Somewhere Different to Visit in Romsey
A few weeks ago, I visited King John's House and Museum in Romsey. It was an interesting exploration of 800 years of history! I had no idea it was tucked away in Romsey.
This 13th-century medieval house, Tudor Cottage, and Victorian Museum are set in beautiful gardens. The Victorian Museum offers free entry and is open Monday through Saturday, 10am - 4pm.
Guided tours of the medieval house are available daily at 11am and 2pm (£5), providing detailed insights into the history of the house and its past inhabitants.
Miss Moody’s Tudor Tea Room serves homemade soups, puddings, cakes, and more, including vegan and vegetarian options. It is open Monday through Saturday, 10am - 4pm.
Anyone interested in history or looking for a peaceful place to explore should visit King John's House and Museum.

STREET ART
I just had to share this piece of street art I found in Southampton - I think it’s brilliant! It’s by My Dog Sighs.
You can spot his creations all over Hampshire, especially in Portsmouth.
After a decade of sharing his art for free through the Free Art Friday project, he's finally getting the recognition he deserves. With a dedicated fan base stretching from Israel to Japan and the UK, he's had five sold-out shows and is rapidly making a name for himself in the contemporary art scene.
His pieces, crafted from discarded materials, tell compelling stories of loss and rediscovery.
